Who we are
Recursive Doodle is a newsletter of animated explainers of computer science. Contact: hello@recursivedoodle.com.
What we collect when you subscribe
- Your email address.
- The address of the page you signed up on, and the page you came from.
- If the link you followed had one, a short tag that says which video you came from.
Why we collect it
To send you the newsletter, one email each week, and to see which videos bring subscribers.
Who handles it
The emails are sent with Kit (kit.com), a mail service in the United States. Kit stores the list of subscribers for us and records if an email is opened and which links are clicked.
The site is hosted by Cloudflare, which keeps short-lived technical logs (such as IP addresses) to run and protect the site.
What we do not do
There are no advertising trackers, no analytics script and no cookies on this site. We do not sell or share your email address.
How long we keep it
We keep your email address until you unsubscribe. Each email has an unsubscribe link, and it works at once.
Your choices
Unsubscribe with the link in any email. Or write to hello@recursivedoodle.com to see, correct or delete your data.

If this page changes, the date at the top changes.
